白い山白色的山
The initial thought of "The White Mountain" comes from my personal experience of living in a Mongolian autonomous county in Northeast China for eight years. The project attempts to focus on the memory fragments that are too vague to tell whether they are dreams or reality, but that have a real impact on me, and the imagination of factors such as ethnicity and geography through the act of leaving my hometown and the a priori constitution of my identity.
Most of the photographs in the project are in a multiple states, where a relatively spacious trance and a more compact gaze are often passively intertwined. When I re-enter the space of memory passing by, trying to imagine or recall those unspeakable memories through the act of photography.This act of retrospection produces a certain inevitable change to memory itself, and even extends to a certain transcendence. For me, the loss of the past seems to be decisive, and many of the original tendencies of memory inevitably slip into new relationships under constant excavation. Thus, the white mountain is not only about the mountain itself, but also about the new experiences that arise from the act of retrospection, and the new horizons that derive from it.
『白い山』の最初の手がかりは、中国東北部のあるモンゴル族自治県で過ごした8年間の生活経験そのものにある。このプロジェクトでは、現実とも幻想ともつかないながらも、確かに私に影響を与え続けている記憶の断片に目を向けている。同時に、故郷を離れるという行為と、あらかじめ与えられたアイデンティティの構成要素を通して生まれる、民族や地理的な帰属などをめぐる想像を探っている。
本作の写真の多くには、複数の状態が重なり合っている。ゆるやかに広がる夢うつつの感覚と、より緊密な凝視とが、しばしば意図せず交錯する。過ぎ去った時間を追憶する空間へと再び足を踏み入れ、写真を撮るという行為を通して、言葉では捉えきれない記憶を想像し、あるいは思い出そうとするとき、その遡行の行為は、必然的に記憶そのものにも何らかの変化をもたらし、さらには経験の範囲を超える何かへと広がっていく。私にとって、過去はもはや取り戻せないもののように思える。記憶を掘り下げていくにつれ、その多くがかつて指し示していたものも、避けがたく新たな関係のなかへと移りゆく。だからこそ、『白い山』は、かつてあった出来事だけをめぐる作品ではない。それは、過去をたどる行為によって生まれる新たな経験と、そこから生まれる新たなまなざしをもめぐる作品である。
《白色的山》最初的索引来源于个人在东北一个蒙古族自治县的八年生活经历本身。项目试图关注那些亦真实亦虚幻，但又切实影响着我的记忆碎片，以及经由离开故乡这一行为与先验性的身份构成所带来的对诸如民族，地缘等因素的想象。
项目中的照片大多处在一种多重状态下，相对舒展的恍惚与更为紧凑的凝视常常被动地交织出现。当我再度进入追忆流逝的空间，试图通过摄影这一行为去想象或回忆那些言说不清记忆时，这种回溯的行为又对记忆本身产生了某种必然的改变，甚至延伸出了某种超验。于我而言，过去的丧失仿佛是决定性的，许多记忆中原有的指向也在不断挖掘下无可避免地滑入新的关系之中。因此，白色的山并不只关于原本的事情，还关于回溯行为所产生的新的经验，以及由此衍生出的新的观看。
